Common questions
How does per-sample pricing work?
Every plan has a monthly base price plus a per-sample fee for each sample you process, up to a monthly sample limit. Starter covers up to 1,000 samples a month, Professional up to 3,000, and Enterprise is unlimited with volume-based pricing.
How long does onboarding take?
Most labs are up and running in about 4 weeks. Enterprise implementations are scoped individually. Onboarding is a one-time fee, €1,000 for Starter, €2,000 + travel for Professional, €4,000+ + travel for Enterprise.
What's not included in the base plan?
Auto Invoicing, Packaging, Reporting, and Data Backup are optional add-on modules, available on any tier from €3,399/year each. Everything else, unlimited users, support, free updates, cloud hosting, and daily backups - is included in every plan.
Do we need an IT department to get started?
No. Milva Lab is cloud-hosted and requires no local installation. Your lab manager handles onboarding, not your IT team.
What happens to our existing data?
We offer a data migration service for labs coming from Excel or legacy LIMS. Your historical sample and client records can be imported before go-live.
Is our data stored in the EU?
Yes. Milva Lab is EU-hosted and GDPR-native. Your sample data, client identities, and environmental readings never leave the EU.
Can our clients use the portal without downloading an app?
Yes. The client portal runs in any browser. No app download required for your clients or their field teams.
What if we need a feature that isn't listed?
Talk to us. Milva Lab is purpose-built for environmental and building testing labs, and our roadmap is driven by labs like yours. Most feature requests from Professional and Enterprise customers are evaluated within one quarter.
